  2. Monitoring ongoing research: The committee may also monitor ongoing research studies to ensure that they continue to adhere to ethical principles. This may involve conducting reviews, reviewing progress reports, and addressing any concerns that arise.
  3. Addressing complaints: The committee is responsible for investigating complaints regarding ethical violations or research misconduct. From these investigations, the committee is tasked with taking appropriate action, which may include recommending sanctions or terminating research studies.
